Head Start parents and families have numerous opportunities to engage in their children’s education both in school and at home. This support is needed to start each child’s early life off right. Step Forward serves over 3,000 Head Start and Early Head Start families yearly, providing family development through services that support early learning, health, and family well-being.

Parents are involved and have a voice in designing the services to meet their needs. When a child is enrolled in one of Step Forward’s Head Start programs, the family is matched with a Family Service Worker who conducts a needs assessment, helping them access other necessary programs and services, and serving as an ongoing resource.
